Stuxnet: Stopper and Starter of War

In the video I chose about Stuxnet they start by telling us some things about Stuxnet like how it’s 20x more complex than any previous virus. it doesn’t force itself into systems like other viruses, it gets a real clearance from one of the most reputable computer tech company in the world. it enters through things called zero days. once it’s in the system it doesn’t always activate it can remain dormant.

Stuxnet was looking to shut down the centrifuges that spin nuclear material in Iran’s enrichment facilitates. stuxnet was the first weapon to be made from code. iran has responded by calling for hackers to join them. they now have the second largest online army.

no one knows who was behind the attack but some think it was Israel because it has some refrances to the Hebrew bible.

most cyber Attacks are meant to access someones or a groups files or to disable someones computer or make it go offline. cyber attacks are mostly aimed towards businesses. this could lead to the company’s valuable info getting leaked or the costumers of that business having their info getting leaked.

I find it interesting how we can respond to a pysical attack with a cyber attack. instead of using up millions of dollars on a real world attack we can use much less money and attack with our computers.

  1. Your description of the video got your point across very well, and I can see that you put a good amount of effort into it.
